FAQ

What is meant by student-centred learning?
The old method of learning, which many teachers still use, is to treat students like empty passive vessels, just there to absorb knowledge, whereas student-centred learning is about getting students to think by asking them questions. The teacher leads the student to knowledge but also guides how they think. Best summed up with: ‘Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn’ – Benjamin Franklin
What qualifications do the teachers have?
All our teachers have QTS (qualified teacher status) which means they have passed a post-graduate course in education, have been formally observed teaching, and deemed fit to teach in any state or private school.
What guarantees do I have?
When it comes to exam success, no guarantees can hold any credibility. Anything can happen on the day. BUT we do guarantee that we will prepare students to the best of our ability. In some cases this might mean extra classes or help with the English language. Your child’s success is our success, so we invest everything we have into exam passes.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes, feel free to arrange payment with our receptionists.
Do you have car parking?
We are in the centre of town adjoining John Lewis. There is no official parking but there are plenty of options in the Oracle Centre or Broad Street Shopping Mall, both of which are just a few minutes walk away.
